Reset Logged Diagnostic Message List (1987 - 1988)
This function is only available when the ECAP is connected to a 3406B PEEC with a Personality Module released in 1987 or 1988.Versions released in 1989 or after do not need this feature. This function is used to clear the list of logged diagnostic messages sent from PEEC.Logged Diagnostic messages are displayed using the Display Logged Diagnostic Messages function. Example To reset the list of diagnostic messages that have been received:Select item 3 - by pressing the DOWN arrow key twice or entering 3.The block cursor will move to item 3 -.* Confirm your selection by pressing RETURN.Calibrate/Monitor Sensors Menu
This menu provides access to functions for calibrating or monitoring sensors used by PEEC. Refer to SEHS8746 and SENR3479, for the precalibration procedures needed for each specific sensor, before accessing any calibrate function from this menu. 1 - Calibrate Timing Sensor: Function for calibrating the Timing Sensor used by PEEC. 2 - Calibrate Rack Sensor: Function for calibrating the Rack Sensor used by PEEC. 3 - Calibrate Boost Sensor: Function for calibrating the Boost Sensor used by PEEC. 4 - Monitor Throttle Position Sensor Signal: Function for monitoring the throttle position duty cycle. If the engine is running, you will not be able to access any of the Calibrate Sensors functions. Example To Calibrate Boost Sensor: Select item 3 - by pressing the DOWN arrow key twice or entering 3.The block cursor will move to item 3 -.* Confirm your selection by pressing RETURN.Calibrate Timing Sensor
This function is used to calibrate the timing sensor used on a 3406B (PEEC) engine. The engine timing sensor must be set to a required position before the Calibrate Timing Sensor function can be used correctly.Refer to SEHS8746. When this function is accessed, the PEEC is placed into the calibration mode and sends calibration error values to the ECAP.If there is no error in timing calibration: CALIBRATED! is displayed on the LCD.If there is a calibration error:A bar graph showing the relative amount of calibration
