CONVERSION AR-BUCKET 2970703 - Caterpillar

1. Lower the clamshell bucket to the ground with the telescopic stick fully retracted and the bucket in the fully open position. Completely release all pressure from the hydraulic system. 2. Disconnect the bucket line between the telescopic stick and the clamshell bucket cylinder by separating the male and female couplings. Close the openings of disconnected couplings of the bucket lines with plugs. Similarly, close the openings of the disconnected hydraulic hoses by reconnecting the male and female couplings each other.The disconnection and reconnection of male/female couplings can be done easily by one-touch action as follows. To disconnect;Slide the outside sleeve of the female coupling toward you with fingers and pull the female coupling off the other. When separated, release the outside sleeve.To connect;With the outside sleeve of the female coupling pulled toward you with fingers, push the female coupling onto the other. When it stops, release the outside sleeve. 3. Remove the telescopic stick to clamshell bucket cylinder linkage pin. 4. When carrying the clamshell bucket with a hoist, fasten a lifting sling to the suspension arm mounting boss of the bucket as shown above. Installation is the reverse of removal.
