The payload data accuracy may drift as a result of temperature change.Solution
Perform empty payload calibration procedure through the secondary display at least once per shift to compensate for system drift, due to ambient temperature fluctuations. The Empty Weight Calibration Procedure can be found within Special Instruction, M0084547, "CAT Production Measurement System (CPM) Installation Procedure for 740 and 745 Articulated Trucks".If errors occur during the calibration procedure, have your dealer Technical Communicator (TC) create a System Tech / Product Technology Service Request and submit through PSCRM. Include any details about the failed calibration. Also, attach a Product Status Report (PSR) and reference this publication in the description field of the SR prior to submitting to Caterpillar.
