Make a note of the position of the pins on the connector (J). Remove the connector from harness (J) for precleaner (H) .
Route harness (J) through hole (G) .
Reinstall the connector.
Seal hole (G) with silicone sealant (40) .Installing the Precleaner

Install bracket assembly (4) with two bolts (5) and two washers (22) .

(J) Precleaner opening (K) Output tube
Rotate output tube (K) on the rear of the canister downward. Refer to Illustration 29 for the proper orientation for the elbow.Note: The elbow on the rear of the cannister is hard to turn. An adjustable strap wrench may be required in order to turn the elbow. The force required to rotate the elbow can be reduced by removing the filter from the canister before trying to rotate the elbow.

Install reducing elbow (13) onto canister (2) with clamp (7). Canister (2) is preassembled to bracket (5) .
Install tube (17) into reducing elbow (13) with hose clamp (16) .

Install precleaner (H) with air cleaner cap (40) to bracket assembly (12) with four bolts (9) and four washers (19). Install bracket assembly (12) onto bracket assembly (4) with four bolts (29) and four washers (23) .
Install reducer (15) onto precleaner (H) with clamp (33) and onto tube (17) with clamp (16) .

Install hose (3) with two clamps (7) .

Install harness (14) from the harness on the precleaner then through grommet (18) to the HVAC unit.
Secure harness (14) to bracket assembly (4) with cable strap (21) .
Secure harness (14) to hose (3) in two locations with cable strap (21) .

Connect harness (14) to the HVAC harness. Secure harness (14) to the HVAC unit with two tie straps (21). See Illustration 34.

Connect electrical harness (F) that is inside the cab.
Secure electrical harness (F) to the platform with cable strap (21) .

Fabricate boss plate (8A) from mild steel using the dimensions in Illustration 36.

Measure upward 245 mm (9.65 inch) (Q) from the top surface of the mounting plate for the ROPS.
Weld boss (8) to fabricated boss plate (8A) with a 6 mm (0.24 inch) fillet weld.
Bond fabricated boss plate (8A) with adhesive (42) to the ROPS.

Install clip (11) to boss (8) with bolt (30) and washer (23) .
Open the shut off valve for the HVAC unit.
Recharge the A/C. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, SENR5664.
Add 90 mL (3 oz) of 4C-2959 Air Conditioner Oil (44) for the new evaporator and the new dryer.
