(1) 278-0534 Alternator Guard Assembly (2) 278-0535 Spacer An improved alternator guard is used on the above G3500 Generator Sets. The new guard provides a longer metal insert for the bolt holes of the guard. This reduces the stress at the joint between the insert and the fiberglass. The guard is now made of a stronger material. The new guard is white in color.Adaptable To: The 278-0534 Alternator Guard Assembly is a direct replacement for the cancelled 171-8946 Alternator Guard Assembly. The new alternator guard is adaptable to the engines that are listed above. The effectivity for manufacturing is listed in Table 2.
