Introduction
This section discusses the Setup Menu dialogs. Use these dialogs in order to access the AccuGrade System setup items.Note: The contents of the "Setup Menu" dialog are site configurable. Depending on the Operator Configuration settings of your system and machine settings, the number of items in the "Setup Menu" may vary.Table 1 lists the default menu items.Table 2 lists the additional menu items. Contact your Site Supervisor or your Caterpillar Dealer in order to turn on these options.

Menu Item     Description    
"Diagnostics"     The AccuGrade System software shows diagnostic information about the devices the software detects and also the GPS receiver.    
"Light Bar Scales"     The "Light Bar Scales" dialogs set the vertical and horizontal tolerances that apply to the LED indicators on the light bars.    
"Restore Settings"     Use the "Restore Settings" dialog in order to restore previously saved display settings or machine settings.

"Avoidance Zone"     The "Avoidance Zone" dialog allows you to configure the distance from an avoidance zone when you need to be warned. This varies for different applications.    
"Beeper"     The beeper can be configured in order to provide an audible signal for when various events occur.    
"Display and Light Bar Brightness"     The "Display and Light Bar Brightness" dialog sets the brightness of the Display and light bars. By default, the dialog is only available in the "Setup Menu – Configuration"    
"Map Recording"     The main purpose of "Map Recording" is to display position and attribute information on the Plan View. Terrain logging files (.st) are also recorded when using certain map recording types. Terrain logging files are used in the AccuGrade Office    
"Text Items"     "Text Items" allows you to customize the text items on the Display in order to suit your requirements.    
"Save Settings"     The "Save Settings" dialog allows you to save your Display and/or machine settings to the data card.    
"GPS Receiver Configuration"     "GPS Receiver Configuration" dialog allows you to send a configuration file to the receiver without loading a design.    In order to access the "Setup Menu" dialog, complete the following steps:
Press the "Menu" key until the "Setup Menu" soft key is displayed.
Press the "Setup Menu" soft key. Refer to Illustration 1.

Press the Down Arrow or the Up Arrow in order to scroll through the available options. Press the "OK" key in order to select the appropriate item.Within any of the "Setup Menu – Configuration" options, the following steps apply:
Press the "OK" key in order to save any setup changes.
Press the "ESC" key in order to close the dialog without changing any setup options. A warning appears.
