Torque to 70 15 N m (52 11 lb ft).

Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.

Remove grill assembly (1) and open door (2).

Remove angle plate (4) and plate (3).

Use Tooling (A) to remove filters (5). Disconnect harness assemblies (6).

Disconnect hose assemblies (7).
Remove bolts (9) and remove fuel filter base (8).

Remove elbows (10) and (11) from fuel filter base (8).
Remove fuel temperature sensor (12). Remove fuel pressure sensor (14). Remove differential pressure switch (13).
Remove studs (15). Installation Procedure
Install fuel filter base (8) in the reverse order of removal.

Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of fuel filter base (8) where studs (15) are attached at a length of Dimension (Y). Dimension (Y) is 7.6 0.8 mm (0.30 0.03 inch).
Tighten differential pressure switch (12) to a torque of 6.8 1.4 N m (60.19 12.39 lb in).
Tighten fuel pressure sensor (13) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).
Tighten fuel temperature sensor (11) to a torque of 20 3 N m (177 27 lb in).
Lubricate the seals and the bores for fuel filters (5) with the lubricant that is being sealed.
Use Tooling (A) in order to install fuel filters (5). Tighten fuel filters (8) to a torque of 35 3 N m (26 2 lb ft).
