Information:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions:360-1
The engine has been running for ten seconds.
The ECM detects a low oil pressure for 30 seconds.
Engine oil pressure at 500 rpm is equal to 21.6 kPa (3 psi) or engine oil pressure at 500 rpm is below 21.6 kPa (3 psi). Refer to Illustration 1.360-3
The engine has been running for ten seconds.
The ECM detects a low oil pressure for two seconds.
Engine oil pressure at 500 rpm is equal to 21.6 kPa (3 psi) or engine oil pressure at 500 rpm is below 21.6 kPa (3 psi). Refer to Illustration 1.
Illustration 1 g01054211System Response:360-1The event code is logged. If engine oil pressure at 1400 rpm rises 70 kPa (10 psi) above the trip point of 205 kPa (30 psi) for 20 seconds, the event code will deactivate.360-3The event code is logged. The ECM will stop sending signals to the injector solenoids.Possible Performance Effect:360-1None360-3The engine will shut down.Troubleshooting
There may be a problem with the engine lubrication system.Test Step 1. Check the Engine Oil level
Check the engine oil level. Expected Result:The engine oil level is okay. Results:
OK - The engine oil level is okay.Repair: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Oil Pressure - Test".STOP
Not OK - The engine oil level is low.Repair: Add oil to the engine.STOP
