Remove the exhaust shield that covers the exhaust bypass.
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove catalyst inlet temperature sensor (5).
Attach a suitable lifting device to air inlet adapter (3).
Remove bolts (1), bolts (2), bolts (4), bolts (6), and air inlet elbow (3). The weight of air inlet adapter (3) is approximately 36 kg (79 lb).

Remove elbow (7) and elbow (8).
Disconnect harness assembly (9).

Remove bolts (10) and guards (11).

Attach a suitable lifting device to exhaust bypass (13).
Remove bolts (14) and exhaust bypass (13). Installation Procedure
Install exhaust bypass (13) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (14) and bolts (12).
Tighten bolts (14) and bolts (12) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).
Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of bolts (1), bolts (4), and bolts (6).
