Rework Procedure
1. Park the machine on level ground, lower all implements to the ground, shut machine off, and relieve all hydraulic system pressure. Refer to SEBU8499, D11T Track-Type Tractor, Operation and Maintenance Manual, and KENR5625, D11T Track-Type Tractor Machine Systems, Disassembly and Assembly, for more information.
2. Lower rear-most section (p/n 492-4885) of the bottom guard. Refer to UENR0080, D11T Track-Type Tractor Engine Supplement, Disassembly and Assembly, Bottom Guard - Lower. See Image 1.2.1.
Use caution around potential pinch points. Be alert for possible movement of the guards.
Do not place any part of your body under the bottom guard unless the mounting nuts are installed. Make sure that the suitable restraining devices are tight before the mounting nuts are loosened.
Inspect the suitable lifting device and all suitable restraining devices prior to installation for proper condition and proper operation.

3. Remove existing 271-2324 Hose As between front of tractor case and rear of torque converter housing. This hose and the seals on each end will not be reused. However, please retain clipping and flange hardware, as it will be reused. See Image 1.3.1 for an overview of the hose to be removed.
No proactive powertrain oil evacuation is required. Plan for containment of a small amount of oil that is present in the hose assembly that is being removed.

4. Install a new 271-2324 Hose As, which is buildable from the Hydraulic Information System (HIS). Use Qty (2) 4J-0522 Seals on each end of the hose. Please note, the consist provided in HIS is accurate, and provides the design-intent hose. There are no length or other outwardly visible assembly differences. The couplings called for in HIS provide the correct inner diameter, suitable for the flow and pressure requirements of the system. See Image 1.4.1 for the proper hose assembly orientation at the case end, and Image 1.4.2 for the proper hose assembly orientation at the torque converter end.

5. Raise the rear-most section of the bottom guard (p/n 492-4885). Refer to UENR0080, D11T Track-Type Tractor Engine Supplement, Disassembly and Assembly, Bottom Guard - Raise.
