Install the nut to Tooling (D).

Use a hammer and a suitable drift in order to bend the tabs on nut lock (19).

Use Tooling (E) in order to remove nut (20).
Remove the nut from Tooling (D).

Remove differential pinion (17). Remove bearing cone (21). Remove bearing cups (22).

Remove spacer (25). Remove retainer (23) and bearing cone (24) from Tooling (D).
Repeat Step 17.a through Step 17.h for the three remaining differential pinions.

Remove differential bevel gear (27) from differential housing assembly (26).

Remove thrust washer (28) from differential housing assembly (26).

Turn the differential carrier assembly upside-down. Position the differential carrier assembly on Tooling (A). Remove bolts (29) that hold bearing cage (30) to the differential carrier assembly. The weight of the differential carrier assembly is approximately 247 kg (545 lb).

Install Tooling (H) in order to loosen bearing cage (30) from the differential carrier assembly.
Remove bearing cage (30) and shims (31) from the differential carrier assembly.

Remove seal assembly (32) from bearing cage (30).
Remove bearing cup (33) and O-ring seal (34) from bearing cage (30).

Attach Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device to pinion assembly (35).
Remove pinion assembly (35) from the differential carrier assembly. The weight of pinion assembly (35) is approximately 22 kg (49 lb).

Use Tooling (C) in order to remove bearing cones (36) and (37) from the pinion assembly.
