Action Required
See the attached rework procedure.
For those tractors requiring Group 4, the bracket mounting instructions show how to use an adapter bracket to mount the 1491389 Coolant Bottle to the tractor.
Remove the two rear most of the 4 bolts that mount the engine mount bracket to the flywheel housing, save the washers.
Mount the 1501544 Bracket to the engine and engine mount bracket using 2-1D4610 Bolts such that the bosses around the large holes on the 1501544 Bracket face the rear of the machine.
Install the 2-7T8331 Mounts into the 1501544 Bracket from the rear pushing them in the holes toward the front of the machine. Install the 1491389 Bracket to the 1501544 Bracket in this order from the rear of the machine to the front. See Illustration 3.

Installation Instructions For Coolant Expansion Bottle
- Groups 1 & 4
If Tractor is expelling coolant on a regular basis, check for combustion gas in the coolant by either using a bottle check with a modified radiator cap as outlined in the Service Manual or replacing the 1/4 inch vent line from the upper water manifold to the radiator top tank with three foot of clear flexible tubing for testing purposes only, "DO NOT USE RADIATOR CAP WHEN DOING THESE CHECKS". If the bottle check exceeds .25 pints/min or the vent line does not remain totally filled, the source of combustion gas must be found and eliminated.
1. Provide access to radiator top tank.2. Remove the rubber overflow hose and clamp from the top tank filler neck.3. From the front left fender support, remove the two front bolts. Install the 1491389 Bracket to the fender support using two 5P2566 Bolts.4. Cut a 900 mm (35.5 inch) length of 5P1420 Hose and attach it to the 1401207 Tank Assembly overflow spout using one 1P4278 Clamp.5. Mount the tank assembly to the 1491389 Bracket that was just installed at the left front fender support using the two 1401209 Strap Assemblies and the four 8T4224 Washers and 6V8189 Nuts with "Loctite No. 271". Tighten the nuts until they just contact, then 1/2-turn more. The overflow spout should be to the rear of the tractor when properly positioned. It is permitted to use a tie strap to secure overflow hose.6. Install the remaining 5P1420 Hose to the bottom fitting of the 1401207 Tank Assembly using a 1P4278 Clamp.7. Route the 5P1420 Hose which is attached to the bottom of the tank assembly per the attached Illustrations terminating at the radiator overflow at the top tank filler neck and attach with a 1P4278 Clamp.8. Clamp the hose at three spots per the attached Illustration. The hose should be kept with smooth bends and no "low spots" as these may cause air pockets.9. Fill the radiator to the top of the filler neck. Also fill the overflow bottle to the low mark if the radiator is cold to luke warm.
