Remove the broom assembly with the drive motor from the frame.
Follow the procedure to remove the motor.Note: It may be necessary to remove the bearing from the opposite end of the broom core in order to allow the removal of 4 or 5 bristle sections. Slide the bristle sections along the core in order to give better access to the nut (5) and the cotter pin (4) that retain the motor (6) .
Remove the 4 bolts (2). Replace the bolts with 8T-0273 Bolts and 6V-7687 Locknuts. Tighten the new bolts to the correct torque.Note: It will be necessary to remove the plug (3) from the upper side of the motor in order to allow the bolt to fit into the top hole. Install the top bolt before replacing the plug. Perform this step before placing the motor into the housing.
Fit the motor onto the core for the broom (7). Install the slotted nut (5). Tighten the nut to a torque of 110 10 N m (81 7 lb ft).Note: The holes for the slotted nut may not align. Tighten the nut further until the cotter pin can be installed. Do not loosen the nut in order to get the correct alignment.
Install the broom assembly into the frame.
