Send Operator Message icon - Used by the operator to send a pre-recorded message to either a truck or to office software such as Fleet. Perform the following steps to send a pre-recorded text message.

Open the "Send Operator Message" dialog by selecting the Send Operator Message icon.Alternatively, select "System" from the main menu of the on-board software, and then select "Send Operator Message".
Select the pre-recorded message (1) that you want to send. The selected message is highlighted.
Open the pull down list of trucks (2) and select the truck that you want to send the message to. If you want to send the message to the office software, then select the "To Office" option from the list of trucks.
Press "OK" to send the pre-recorded message to the truck.Note: Use Steps 2 through 4 to send messages to machines without Terrain on-board software. Cat MineStar System reroutes the message to the machine. Messages

The dispatcher in the office can use MineStar to send operator messages to a machine operator. The dispatcher can enter a label for the message. The message content is entered by the dispatcher. The message can also be configured to sound the annunciator on the machine.The messages can require an action by the operator. Table 1 lists the desired responses from the operator. The operator response is returned to the dispatcher in the office.
