Stop the engine, lower the blade to the ground and use the controls to release hydraulic pressure. Slowly loosen the cap to release any pressure in the hydraulic tank. Let the hydraulic oil become cool before any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact the skin. Be sure that the engine and components are cool enough to touch with your bare hand prior to performing any service work.
Put identification marks on all lines, hoses, wires and tubes to prevent fluid loss and contaminants from entering the system. 1. Remove guard (1) from the angling cylinder. 2. Disconnect hose assembly (2) and (3) from the angling cylinder. Cap and plug hydraulic lines. Fasten a hoist to the angling cylinder. 3. Remove bolt (4) and retainer (6) that hold pin (5) for the rod end of the angling cylinder to the blade. Remove pin (5). Remove spacers (7). 4. Remove bolt (9) and retainer (10) that hold pin (8) for the head end of the angling cylinder to the C-frame. Remove pin (8). 5. Remove angling cylinder (11). The weight of the blade angling cylinder is 29 kg (65 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the blade angling cylinder.6. Fasten a hoist to the angling cylinder. Put angling cylinder (11) in position in the C-frame and blade.7. Install pin (8) that holds the head end of the angling cylinder in the C-frame. Install retainer (10) and bolt (9) that hold pin (8) for the head end of the angling cylinder in the C-frame.8. Install spacers (7). Install pin (5) that holds the rod end of the angling cylinder in the blade. Install retainer (6) and bolt (4) that hold pin (5) for the rod end of the angling cylinder in the blade.9. Connect hose assembly (2) and (3) to the angling cylinder.10. Install guard (1) to the angling cylinder.11. Fill the hydraulic system with oil to the correct level. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct level.
