Oil pump with drilled oil galleryThe following 3406 oil pumps that are listed in Table 1 do not require a housing with a drilled oil passage. The pumps that are listed in Table 1 can be remanufactured with either housing. However, if you receive a 3406 oil pump with a housing that has a drilled oil gallery, then the 2S-7905 Pipe Plug (1) must be in place. Refer to Illustration 3. If the plug is not in place, the pump will move oil but the pressure is lost because the oil is not diverted to the proper oil gallery.
