Remove the engine enclosures.Inlet Sensor

Remove cable straps (1) and nitrogen oxide sensor probe (2).

Disconnect harness assembly (5). Remove bolts (3) and nitrogen oxide sensor (4).Outlet Sensor

Remove cable straps (6) and nitrogen oxide sensor probe (7).

Disconnect harness assembly (8). Remove bolts (10) and nitrogen oxide sensor (9).Installation Procedure
Note: New nitrogen oxide sensor probes are pre-lubricated. Do not use Tooling (A) on new nitrogen oxide sensor probes. When installing an existing nitrogen oxide sensor probe, install Tooling (A) on the threads only.Note: For more information about nitrogen oxide sensors, refer to Special Instruction, REHS8151, "NOx Sensors Handling and Installation Procedures"
Install nitrogen oxide sensors (9) and (4) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten nitrogen oxide sensor probes (7) and (2) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).
