Remove the radiator tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator Tank - Remove and Install".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove bolts (1) .
Remove bolts (3) .
Remove bracket assembly (2) .

Loosen clamps (6) and disconnect hoses (7) .
Remove bolts (4) . Remove retainer (5) and the spacer.
Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device in order to remove radiator core (8) . The weight of radiator core (8) is approximately 27 kg (59 lb).

Remove seal (9) and discard seal (9) .
Repeat Steps 4 through 7 for the remaining radiator cores.Installation Procedure

Apply Tooling (B) to new seal (9) and install new seal (9) .

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device in order to position radiator core (8) . The weight of radiator core (8) is approximately 27 kg (59 lb).
Position retainer (5) and the spacer. Install bolts (4) .
Connect hoses (7) and tighten clamps (6) .
Repeat Steps 1 through 4.
