ACTION REQUIRED
When the machine is being work on for routine service, inspect the base of the fuel filter.
- If the 213-0064 Base has a drill mark as shown in Image1, then the base and switch has been verified by the factory as good and no action is needed.
- If the 213-0064 Base does not have a drill mark as shown in Image1, then remove the 275-1253 Switch (Image2) from the base and inspect the bottom of the bore that contained the switch. If no seal is present (as shown in Image3), then place a 5P-9267 O-ring Seal to sit at the bottom of the bore (Image4). Reinstall the switch into the bore and tighten to 6.78 +/- 1.41 N-m.
Note: the 5P-9267 O-ring Seal will provide a seal between the bottom face of the switch and the bottom of the bore.)
