Remove bolt (13), the full nut, and two washers (14) from the axle housing assembly.

Remove full nut (15), the bolt, and two washers (16) from the frame assembly.

If necessary, use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to remove pin (17). Repeat this step for the remaining pin.

Attach a suitable lifting sling to control rod (2), as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a suitable lift truck.
Position Tooling (B) below the frame assembly, as shown. Use Tooling (B) to raise the rear end of the frame assembly in order to ease removal of control rod (2). Remove control rod (2) from the axle housing assembly. The weight of control rod (2) is 133 kg (295 lb). Installation Procedure

Verify that all of the components are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.
Inspect all components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

Attach a suitable lifting sling to control rod (2), as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a suitable lift truck.
Position Tooling (B) below the frame assembly, as shown. Use Tooling (B) to raise the rear end of the frame assembly in order to ease installation of control rod (2). Install control rod (2) to the axle housing assembly. The weight of control rod (2) is 133 kg (295 lb).
Apply Tooling (C) to the bore of the axle housing assembly and the bore of the frame assembly. Install pin (17). Repeat this step for the remaining pin.

Install two washers (16), the bolt and full nut (15) to the frame assembly.

Install two washers (14), bolt (13) and the full nut to the axle housing assembly.

Connect hose assembly (9) to lube distribution valve (12).
Connect hose assembly (8) to lube distribution valve (11).
Connect hose assembly (7) to lube distribution valve (10).

Install bolt (5), the washer, and clip (6) that secures breather (4) to the axle housing assembly.
Connect hose assembly (3) to control rod (2).
