A. Parking Brake "Set"
1. High-pressure hydraulic oil from one half of the gear proportionator (part of the vibratory system) is routed into the brake valve.2. Because the propel lever is in the center/stop position, solenoid "A" is de-energized and in its normally-open position. This drains any hydraulic pressure from the brake caliper, accumulator, and 10 300 kPa (1500 psi) pressure switch.3. With pressure drained, the spring-loaded brake caliper applies braking force to the rotor, holding the machine in position.4. Because pressure to the caliper has been released, the 10 300 kPa (1500 psi) pressure switch moves to its normally closed position. This energizes solenoid "B", blocking oil flow from the brake valve to the vibratory system.5. When the 10 300 kPa (1500 psi) pressure switch closes, an electrical circuit to the brake light is completed. This causes the brake light to glow, indicating that the brake is set.6. All high-pressure oil entering the brake valve flows through solenoid "A" to the propel system, without releasing the brake or diverting oil to the vibratory system.7. If,
