Information:
Machine Preparation
Park the machine on a smooth, horizontal surface. Park the machine away from working machines and personnel. Lower the work tool to the ground.
Allow only one operator on the machine. Keep all personnel away from the machine or in the view of the operator.
Move the transmission control lever to the NEUTRAL position.
Engage the parking brake.
Place the steering frame lock in the LOCKED position.Reference: For more information about preparing the machine for troubleshooting, refer to the Service Manual module Testing and adjusting, "General Testing and Adjusting Information" for the machine that is being serviced.Performance Test
Check the pressure of the main relief valve. The pressure should be 24800 350 kPa (3600 50 psi).Reference: For additional information about testing the main relief valve, refer to the Systems Operation and Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Main) - Testing and Adjusting".Implement Stall Test
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.
Illustration 1 g00925248
Set the hydraulic fan to the maximum rpm. In order to run the hydraulic fan system at the maximum rpm, the connection to the solenoid valve for the hydraulic fan system must be disconnected.Note: The solenoid valve is located on the right side of the engine and to the right of the hydraulic fan pump. Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Disconnect the electrical connection from the connection on the solenoid valve.
Engage the parking brake.
Start the engine. Run the engine at high idle.
Place the tilt control lever to the full TILT BACK position.
Illustration 2 g00925262
Record the engine rpm. The engine rpm should be 2260 50 rpm.
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Connect the solenoid valve for the hydraulic fan system.Implement Cycle Time
