The components in the Generator Set Power Module are covered under the Caterpillar Warranty. The warranty outlines the warranty period along with Caterpillar and user responsibilities.There are four types of products that are installed in Generator Set Power Modules. A description of each is provided below.* Type 1 parts are those that have Caterpillar Part Numbers, and are available through the Caterpillar Parts Distribution System* Type 2 parts do not have Caterpillar Part Numbers, and are not available through the Caterpillar Parts System. These parts are listed on the individual parts list, and are available from the original supplier, or Cat Lafayette.* Type 3 parts are not supported by any supplier. These parts are to be fabricated or obtained on a local level by user.* Type 4 parts are available from Cat Lafayette.Typically, parts for the engine and generator set are Type 1, and can be ordered from the Caterpillar Parts System. The enclosure will contain more custom parts (Type 4) that can be ordered only through Cat Lafayette. A parts list is included with each Generator Set Power Module describing the custom parts installed in that particular unit.Each Generator Set Power Module is made to customer specifications.
