This special instruction details how to adjust the brackets for the Cat ® Detect on certain Wheel Loaders.Safety
Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.
Move the machine to a smooth, horizontal location that is away from operating machines and away from personal.
Place the transmission in the NEUTRAL position.
Engage the parking brake.
Lower the lift arms to the ground.
Shut off machine.
Set tire pressures to appropriate setting for machine operation.Installation Procedure

Remove adjustment setting bolts (B) and loosen hinge bolts (C).

Use a level to plumb the sensor mounting bracket.

Adjust the bracket angle up from plumb rotating to next available hole.Note: If an angle finder is available, target the adjustment to be positive 3 degrees +/- 1.75 degrees from level. For dual radars target the adjustment to positive 1 degree +/-1.75 degrees from level.
Tighten adjustment setting bolts (B) and hinge bolts (C) to 3.7 0.8 N m (33 7 lb in).
Reinstall cover. Torque bolts to 15 3 N m (11 2 lb ft).
