(27) 265-9526 Rocker Switch
Plug the rocker switch (27) onto the 390-9969 Connector from the 378-1026 Panel Harness As (Connection L-C23).
Insert the rocker switch (27) through the newly open slot on the 390-9969 Connector until its tabs engage into place. Refer to Illustration 33 and Illustration 34.Ensure that the connection corresponds to the one on Table 3.

(T) 345-6144 Cover As
Locate the 345-6144 Cover As (T) from the Relay and Fuse Panel located on the Rear Cab Liner on the right-hand side of the machine. Remove cover assembly (T) and retain.

Install relay assembly (28) onto the fourth position R4 of the bottom Fuse and Relay Panel. Reinstall the cover assembly (T) .Installing the Films

For ANSI machines, locate and install 239-4990 Film (29) as per dimensions shown on Illustration 37.

To enable the Ride Control feature in the Cat Electronic Technician (ET) service tool, connect the appropriate communication device onto the communication port inside the fuse panel.
With the engine stopped, switch the engine start switch to ON. Then, open the ET service tool.

Select "Service" from the toolbar. Then, select "Machine Configuration" from the drop-down menu. Refer to Illustration 39.

Change the "Ride Control System Installation Status" to "Installed" as shown in Illustration 40.

The Cat ET service tool will bring up a password screen and display the required information to retrieve a password. Refer to Illustration 41.
Click on the https://fps.cat.com link on the Cat ET screen to access the Cat Factory Password System (FPS). Enter the required information on the corresponding fields to obtain and record the password.
Return to the "Machine Configuration" option of the Cat ET screen and once again change the "Ride Control System Installation Status" to "Installed".

The Ride Control feature should now be enabled. Turn the engine start switch OFF for at least 15 seconds. Then, turn the engine start switch back ON and ensure that the status of the Ride Control feature is set to "Installed".
