Information:
Attach Bracket to Paver
Illustration 42The push frame bracket is a universal type and can be fitted to a variety of pavers in different ways. The bracket may be welded or bolted directly to the push roller frame. Or, the push rollers can be removed and the bracket attached directly to the front of the paver frame.1. Park elevator on a level surface and block wheels securely. 2. Attach push frame bracket to elevator.3. Position paver behind elevator. Center the paver hopper beneath the elevator discharge area.4. Mark the location for the bracket on the paver.5. Move the paver back and disconnect the bracket from the elevator.6. Align the bracket at the marked location on the paver, and weld, bolt or pin the bracket to the paver.Adjust Scrapers
The center scraper is not adjustable. The outer scrapers are manually adjustable.
Illustration 431. Remove hair pin cotters (1) from pins (2). Removed pins (2) and towing strut (3) from both rear casters.
Illustration 442. Store towing strut as shown.
Illustration 453. Store pins in holes. Replace hair pin cotters.4. Determine whether to have the center scraper clean the road surface or leave material to pass under the paver.
Illustration 465. Move lift switches to DOWN until the center scraper is the desired distance from the surface and the elevator frame is level.
Illustration 476. Move the ratchet handle to lengthen each turnbuckle until each outer scraper contacts the surface. This makes sure the elevator tires and paver tires ride on a clean surface, which improves the smoothness of the new mat.
Illustration 487. Loosen bolts and lower each end gate to the surface. 8. Tighten the bolts.
