Remove nut (A) and lock washer (B) from latch assembly (1). Refer to Illustration 1.

Secure latch assembly (1) with cover assembly (2). Refer to Illustration 2.

Secure back the nut (A) and lock washer (B) to latch assembly (1). Tighten nut (A) to 15 3 N m (133 27 lb in). Refer to Illustration 3.Before assembling, apply Loctite 243 to threads.

Position gasket (7) and plate (3) on the inner wall of cover assembly (2). Refer to Illustration 4.
Secure gasket (7) and plate (3) with cover assembly (2) using two screws (4), two locknuts (5), and two hard washers (6). Tighten screws (4) to 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).

Remove hex bolt (C) from latch assembly (1). Refer to Illustration 5.

Install pawl (8) with latch assembly (1) with hex bolt (C). Tighten hex bolt (C) to 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).

Position cover assembly (2) with hinges (D), so that the holes are aligning. Install edge trim (9) on cover assembly (2). Refer to Illustration 7.

Install cover assembly (2) with hinges (D) using bolt (10) and locknut (11). Tighten locknut (11) to 15 3 N m (133 26 lb in). Refer to Illustration 8.
