Removal Procedure
At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and under pressure.Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the filler cap slowly in order to relieve pressure.
Put identification marks on all lines, hoses, wires, and tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps prevent fluid loss and contamination of the oil system.

Attach nylon lifting straps (1) to tailgate (2). Use the nylon lifting straps and a suitable hoist to support the weight of the tailgate.

Loosen retaining nut (5) in order to disconnect hydraulic hose (6) from adapter (4). Loosen retaining nut (7) in order to disconnect the hydraulic hose from tailgate lock valve (3). Remove the hydraulic hose from the machine.

Loosen retaining nut (9) in order to disconnect hydraulic hose (10) from adapter (8).

Loosen retaining nut (11) in order to disconnect hydraulic hose (12) from tailgate lock valve (3).

Remove banjo bolt (14) and the two bonded seals that secure tailgate lock valve (3) to hydraulic cylinder (13). Remove the tailgate lock valve from the hydraulic cylinder.

Remove plug (15) and O-ring seal (16) from tailgate lock valve (3). Remove the O-ring seal from the plug. Remove bonded seals (17) and (18) from banjo bolt (14). Note: Make a note of the location of bonded seals (17) and (18) for installation purposes.Installation Procedure
Install tailgate lock valve (3) in the reverse order of removal.
