3406C (4CK) Truck EnginesDescription of Change: New personality modules which provide the following improvements are now available. 1. Oil pressure short circuit (fault code 100-4) is logged if voltage is less than 1.3 volts. Reference procedure P-515 is in the troubleshooting guide.2. Improved cold start strategy.3. Corrected throttle position sensor display on your service tool (will not show less than 3%).4. Improved tampering resistance which includes a warning sticker for the dash. If tampering occurs, the engine will log fault code 23-02 and reduce RPM to 1350. If the tampering continues, the truck will shutdown, and the key switch must be cycled to restart the engine. A factory password is required to regain RPM above 1350 RPM.Adaptable To: The chart lists the applicable engine serial numbers, horsepower ratings, and personality module numbers. In the following chart several abbreviations are used. The list that follows explains those abbreviations.
