Formerly, this oil filter assembly was tightened an additional 3/4turn (270 degrees) after the filter seal contacted the filter base. Caterpillar now recommends that the 2P-4005 Oil Filter Assembly be tightened an additional 1 turn (360 degrees) after the filter seal contacts the filter base.
Please make a note of this change in the appropriate locations in the applicable Operation and Maintenance Manuals and Specifications modules for the above engines.
