Install a blue termination connector (plug) on the XM6 (26) CAN connector that is on the UPS 1 communication board.
Install cables (27) to interconnect the XM6 and XM7 communication board connectors in the four UPS units and the SSC. Refer to Illustration 7.
Install a red termination connector (plug) on the XM7 (28) CAN connector that is on the SSC board.2000 kVA Light SSC Component Connections

(31) Downstream coupling cabinet (32) 2000 Light SSC (33) UPS cabinets (34) Customer current sensors (35) Hash marks represent the number of wires that are to be used for a specific wiring run (36) UPS current sensor terminal blockPerform the following steps to connect the customer current sensors.The cables (not supplied) must be twisted pairs of AWG18 gauge wire with a maximum length of 100 m (3280 ft). The auxiliary "TI" wires and power cables must be separated to ensure sufficient insulation for the auxiliary wires.The cables that exit each cabinet must be routed with the grounding cables that are also routed from one cabinet to the next cabinet.Suitable current sensors must be used to ensure correct operation of the installation.The recommendation for the current transformer (TI) is 4000:1, class 1, and 10 VA.Note: Take care to respect polarity when wiring the customer current sensors.
Open the door of the UPS to access the desired components.
Connect the leads from the 2000 Light SSC terminal block to the customer current sensors that are located in the customer connection panel. Refer to Illustration 9.

The following rule must be observed for the UPS installation to operate properly.Customer switches Q4S ext, Q3BP ext, and Q5N ext must be wired to behave like the switches of an SSC. The auxiliary contact of a customer switch must be a normally open contact when the switch is open or in the off position.The wire size must be AWG20 to AWG16.
Connect the cables for switches Q5N ext, Q4S ext, and Q3BP ext to the XM4 connector on the communications board. Refer to Illustration 10.

SSMC Connections
There are no auxiliary wire connections to be made in the SSMC.Customer Q5N Connections
Q5N connections are not valid for single UPS cabinets or the SSC cabinets.The auxiliary contact of a customer switch must be a normally open contact when the switch is in the off position.There must be only one customer Q5N switch per UPS for the installation to operate properly.
