Test Preparation - Remote Pressure Tap
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location.
Lower all of the implements. Engage the parking brake. Turn off the engine.
Illustration 3 g03714488
Locate pressure tap (B). This pressure tap is located on the brake valve.
Attach Tooling (A) to pressure tap (B). Test Procedure - Remote Pressure Tap
Perform steps in the "Test Preparation - Remote Pressure Tap" section.
Engage parking brake.
Start the engine. Warm the power train oil to a temperature of 80° 10°C (176° 18°F).
The pressure at Tooling (A) should be less than 70 kPa (10 psi) when the parking brake is fully engaged or when the service brake is fully engaged. Reference: See Testing and Adjusting, "Pressure Charts" in this module for additional pressure values.
Operate the engine at low idle. Make sure that the parking brake is in the OFF position.
Check the pressure at Tooling (A). The pressure at Tooling (A) should be 2250 150 kPa (326 22 psi).
Operate the engine at high idle. Make sure that the transmission is in NEUTRAL and that the parking brake is in the OFF position.
Check the pressure at Tooling (A). The pressure at Tooling (A) should be 2450 150 kPa (355 22 psi). Test Preparation - Right Brake
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location.
Lower all of the implements. Engage the parking brake. Turn off the engine.

Right brake
(1) Brake pressure port for the right brake
(2) Planetary gears and brake
Locate brake pressure port (1) inboard of right planetary gears and brake (2) toward the rear.
Remove the plug from brake pressure port (1).
Assemble Tooling (F). Install Tooling (F) in the location for brake pressure port (1).
Assemble Tooling (A).
Attach Tooling (A) to Tooling (F). Test Procedure - Right Brake
The following test procedure will determine if the oil pressure that is delivered to the right brake is within the specified limit.
Perform steps in the "Test Preparation - Right Brake" section.
Engage parking brake.
Start the engine. Warm the power train oil to a temperature of 80° 10°C (176° 18°F).
