The article that follows has been updated with new information.ReferenceSpecial Instruction, REHS3839, "Replacement of the Double Notch Piston Skirts on C9 Engines" for installation instructions.Description of Change: A new improved single notched piston skirt is now used on the engines that are listed above. The new improved single notched piston skirt is adaptable back to the first production of the listed engines.Adaptable To: The new 324-7380 Piston Skirt is a direct replacement for the previous piston skirts listed in Table 1.Note: When replacing the previous piston skirts with the new 324-7380 Piston Skirt, all six cylinders must be changed. The change is effective at the factory with the engine serial numbers that are listed in Table 2.
