Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the radiator and the fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator and Fan - Remove".

Loosen bolt (3) and move alternator (4) toward the engine in order to relieve tension on the V-Belt.
Remove V-Belt (2) from the pulleys.
Remove water pump pulley (1) .

Remove two bolts (5) and washers.
Move alternator bracket (6) away from the engine.

Loosen clamps (7) and (9) .
Disconnect hoses (8) and (10) from the water pump.

Loosen clamp (11) and disconnect hose (12) from the water pump.

Remove four bolts (13) and washers.
Remove locknut (15) .
Remove water pump (14) from the engine.

Remove gasket (16) from the engine.Installation Procedure
Note: Always use a new gasket. Make sure that the new gasket is installed on the clean surfaces.

Install gasket (16) on the engine.

Install water pump (14) on the engine.
Install washers and four bolts (13). Tighten the bolts.
Install locknut (15). Tighten the locknut.

Connect hose (12) and tighten clamp (11) .

Connect hoses (8) and (10) .
Tighten clamps (7) and (9) .

Move alternator bracket (6) toward the engine.
Install washers and two bolts (5). Tighten the bolts.

Install water pump pulley (1) onto the water pump .
Place V-Belt (2) onto the pulleys.
Move alternator (4) away from the engine in order to tension the V-Belt.
Finger tighten the washer and bolt (3) .Note: The fan must be installed in order to tighten bolt (3) from the alternator.End By: Install the radiator and the fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator and Fan - Install".
