Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (1) and bolts (2).

Remove bolts (4) and bolts (5). Disconnect tube assembly (3).

Remove joint assembly (9).
Remove bolts (6), bolts (7), inlet elbow (8), and the O-ring seals.

Remove bolts (10), bolts (11), bolts (13), water pump (12), and the O-ring seal. Installation Procedure
Install water pump (12) in the reverse order of removal.
Lubricate the bores of water pump (12) with the lubricant that is being sealed.
Apply Tooling (A) to the bore of tube assembly (3).
