The underneath conditions must be solid, flat, smooth, and unobstructed. Fully read this procedure and fully understand this procedure before proceeding with the work.Note: Use caution around potential pinch points. Be alert for possible movement of the guards.Note: Inspect the Tooling for proper condition and proper operation.Note: Do not place any part of your body under the bottom guard unless the mounting hardware is installed. Make sure that the Tooling is in the proper location and giving proper support to the guard before the mounting hardware is loosened.Note: Bottom guards may contain a significant amount of rock, dirt, liquids and debris, which will result in significant additional weight.Note: The weights of bottom guards are between 45 kg (100 lb) and 84 kg (185 lb).

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable block to support the front bottom guard.
Remove nuts (1) .
Remove bolts (2) . Lower Tooling (A) and remove the front bottom guard from the machine.

Move Tooling (A) and support the next bottom guard that will be removed.

Remove nuts (4) and the washers that attach bottom guard (3) to both sides of tractor frame (5) . Remove pin (6) . Lower Tooling (A) and remove bottom guard (3) from the machine.Lowering Bottom Guards

Attach suitable slings (1) to one side of the machine. Attach Tooling (A) to the other side of the machine. Attach suitable slings (1) to Tooling (A) and pull tightly under bottom guard (2) , as shown.Note: The weights of bottom guards are between 45 kg (100 lb) and 84 kg (185 lb). Bottom guards may contain 90 kg (200 lb) of rock, dirt, liquids and debris.

Remove nuts (3) on both sides that secure bottom guard (2) to tractor frame (4) .

Use Tooling (A) to lower the bottom guard to ground level. The bottom guard pivots on pin (4) which was not removed.
