Retaining ring failure
The 9U-8875 Retaining Ring and 274-8638 Retaining Ring are reported to either break out or come out of the groove in the clutch drum. This will result in clutch pressure loss and complete transmission dismantle to repair it.Solution
In the event of failure, replace the 9U-8875 Retaining Ring and 274-8638 Retaining Ring with the new 366-7249 Retaining Ring.The new 366-7249 Retaining Ring is compatible with the counter shaft group part numbers that are listed in Table 1.
