Removal Procedure (Right Side Battery)
Accidental machine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the machine.To avoid accidental machine starting, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. If the machine is not equipped with a battery disconnect switch, disconnect the battery cables from the battery and tape the battery clamps.Place a do not operate tag at the battery disconnect switch location to inform personnel that the machine is being worked on.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery Disconnect Switch".

Remove bolts (1) and remove cover (2) .

Remove clip (6). Disconnect cable assemblies (4) and (8). Remove nuts (3) and plate assembly (5). Use two people in order to remove battery (7). The weight of battery (7) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).Removal Procedure (Left Side Battery)

Use two people in order to position battery (16). The weight of battery (16) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb). Position plate assembly (12) and install nuts (14). Tighten nuts (14) to a torque of 30 3 N m (22 2 lb ft). Connect cable assemblies (11) and (13). Install clip (15) .
