TRACK-TYPE TRACTOR,
Information:
Machine the thrust surface flat to a depth of (A) 64.46 0.13 mm (2.538 0.005 in) as measured from the flange surface. Refer to Illustration 7.Drill Dowel Holes

Angle of dowel holes.
(B) 45° angle to the right of vertical.
Illustration 9 g03158185
Separation of dowel holes.
(C) 82.56 mm (3.25 in)
Drilling the dowel holes is a two-step process intended to leave an internal stop for the dowels and a separation from the oil galley (F). Locate the two dowel holes to drill into the thrust face on a 45° angle to the right of vertical. Refer to angle (B) in Illustration 8. Space the dowel holes on a diameter of (C) 82.56 mm (3.25 in). Refer to Illustration 9.

(D) 9 mm (0.35 in)
(E) 7.5 0.5 mm (0.3 0.02 in)
(F) 1.04 mm (0.041 in)
Drill the first holes (D) 4.2 mm (0.17 in) in diameter 9 mm (0.35 in) deep. Refer to Illustration 10.
Drill the countersink holes 4.577 0.013 mm (0.1802 0.0005 in) in diameter 7.5 0.5 mm (0.3 0.02 in) deep into the same hole as specified in Step 1a. Refer to Illustration 10.
After drilling, there should be a separation (F) 1.04 mm (0.041 in) between the oil groove and the dowel hole.Assemble RPTO Bushing
The reassembly of the RPTO bushing involves the installation of the bushing, installation of the dowels and installation of the thrust washer.

(1) 8M-9315 Bushing
(2) 3F-6795 Dowels
Install the bushing (1) flush with the inner face of the housing. For maximum lubrication, ensure that the bushing oil hole aligns with the housing oil hole. Refer to Illustration 11.
Install the dowels (2) into the dowel holes. The dowels should seat against the countersink bottom. Ensure that the dowels protrude 3.5 mm (0.138 in).

(3) 7N-8525 Thrust Washer
Install the thrust washer (3) onto the dowels and machined surface. Refer to Illustration 12.
