Place the machine in the servicing position.
Open the access door for the generator on the right side of the machine.

Clean the area in order to keep dirt out of the filter base.
Remove the used hydraulic oil filter from the filter base. Note: Dispose of used filters according to local regulations.
Clean the filter base.

Coat the seal of a new hydraulic oil filter with clean hydraulic oil.
Install the new oil filter by hand. Instructions for the installation of the filter are printed on the side of each Caterpillar spin-on filter. For non-Caterpillar filters, refer to the installation instructions that are provided by the supplier of the filter.
Close the access door for the generator.
Drive the machine slowly for 10 to 15 minutes. Move each cylinder evenly through several cycles.
Return the machine to the servicing position. Check the machine for oil leaks.
Stop the engine.
Check the hydraulic oil level. Reference: For the correct procedure, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check".
Close the access door.
