Receiver Assembly
The receiver assembly is a wear component and should be serviced or replaced every 4000 hours. Use only Caterpillar receivers as aftermarket receivers may lead to premature nozzle shutoff or fuel leakage.Note: The receiver dust cover must remain intact during machine operation to prevent damage to the receiver as well as to prevent debris from entering the fuel tank and damaging the receiver poppet seal during refueling.Level Vent Control Assembly
Ensure that the vent outlet screen is clear of debris caused by dusty or muddy environments. A blocked outlet may lead to premature nozzle shutoff and possible tank pressurization.Nozzle
Rebuild fuel nozzles per manufacturer recommendation. A worn nozzle will lead to possible fuel leakage at the receiver and may shutoff prematurely.Fuel Cap
Service the fuel cap filter within splash fill fuel caps whenever debris is present. The filter allows the fuel tank to vacuum vent air into the fuel tank during machine operation. The filter must be clean to maintain clean fuel and designed system pressure drop.Separate Tank Breather (If Installed)
As with the fuel cap filter, if the fuel tank is equipped with a separate tank breather to allow for vacuum venting, ensure that breather is clear of debris and in proper working order. Breather must be clean to maintain clean fuel and designed system pressure drop.
