Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the case drain oil filters for the implement system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydrauilc Oil Filter (Implement Case Drain) - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Drain the hydraulic oil tank for the implement system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil (Implement) - Change".

Piston pump (1) is located in front of the cab on the right side of the machine. Disconnect hose assemblies (2) from the front and from the bottom of right side piston pump (1) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to right side piston pump (1). The weight of piston pump (1) is approximately 134 kg (295 lb). Remove bolts (3) and piston pump (1) .

Disconnect hose assemblies (4) from the front and from the bottom of left side piston pump (5) .

Disconnect bracket assembly (6) from the left side of the left piston pump.

Attach a suitable lifting device to left side piston pump (5). The weight of piston pump (5) is approximately 134 kg (295 lb). Remove bolts (7) and piston pump (5) .
