Removal Procedure
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all wires, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or for disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".
Open the air valves in order to purge the air pressure from the system.

Disconnect hose assemblies (2) and (3).

Disconnect hose (4). Disconnect hose assemblies (5).

Attach a suitable lifting device to air compressor (7). The weight of air compressor (7) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).
Remove nuts (6) and air compressor (7).

Remove nut (8), gear (9), seals (10), and pilot adapter (11). Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install seals (10) onto pilot adapter (11). Install pilot adapter (11). Install gear (9) and nut (8).

Attach a suitable lifting device to air compressor (7) and position air compressor (7). The weight of air compressor (7) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).
Install nuts (6).

Connect hose (4). Connect hose assemblies (5).

Connect hose assemblies (2) and (3).

Raise guard assembly (1).
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".
