PROBLEM
The existing injector harness is to long and can rub against the cylinder head on certain 621H, 623H, and 627H Wheel Tractor-Scrapers. If the existing harness rubs against the cylinder head it can cause a short or open on the injector circuit, and a fault code to log.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Harness Removal
1. Clean off the top of the engine enough to remove the valve covers and keep dirt and debris from entering the engine.
2. Disconnect the electrical plugs from the engine brakes and injectors.
3. Remove the C-clip securing the injector harness to the valve cover base, and remove the harness completely from the engine.
Harness Install
1. Insert the external plug through the valve cover base, and install the retaining clip that was previously removed.
2. Secure the harness to the valve cover base using the previously removed screws.
Keep the mounting tabs straight as they are tightened down. If these tabs turn it can cause the injector wires to contact the valve springs or cylinder head.

3. Connect the harness to each injector, and verify that none of the wiring is touching any other components.
4. Connect the engine brakes to the harness.
5. Secure the wiring to the top of the brakes using the preinstalled clips, as shown below.
6. Reinstall the valve cover.
