COUPLING AS 0772966 - Caterpillar

1. Remove bolts (1) and washers that hold the rocker shaft assembly.2. Remove rocker shaft assembly (2) from the cylinder head. 3. Remove eight push rods (3).Install Rocker Shaft And Push Rods
Be sure the end of each push rod is engaged with its respective tappet.
1. Install eight push rods (1). 2. Loosen the adjusting screws on the rocker arms for valve clearance. This will prevent a bent valve or push rod at installation.3. Install a new seal in the counterbore of the cylinder head for the rocker shaft oil supply connection.4. Put rocker shaft assembly (2) in position on the cylinder head. Be sure the push rods are engaged with the rocker arms.5. Install the bolts and washers that hold the rocker shaft assembly. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 43 N m (32 lb.ft.).6. Adjust the intake and exhaust valve clearances: intake 0.30 mm (.012 in.), exhaust 0.30 mm (.012 in.).END BY:a. install valve cover
