Removal Procedure
Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
Install the body retaining pins. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Body Retaining Pins - Remove and Install".
Personal injury can result from driveline torque windup under load.Unequal wheel speed can result in driveline torque windup which can cause driveline components to be under load during disassembly.Relieve the driveline torque windup before disassembly.
Place wheel blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
Release the parking brake.
Release the driveline torque windup by raising either side of the machine until the wheels are off the ground. Lower the wheels back to the ground.
Engage the parking brake.

Remove two bolts (2) and guard (1) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to rear drive shaft (3). The weight of rear drive shaft (3) is approximately 69 kg (152 lb).

When the rear drive shaft is installed, it must be installed in phase with the rear axle assembly yoke. The rear drive shaft must be installed in phase with the center and front drive shafts. Serious component damage could occur. Be certain that all the joint groups, all the yokes, and all the lubricating fittings are aligned.

Attach a suitable lifting device to rear drive shaft (3). The weight of rear drive shaft (3) is approximately 69 kg (152 lb). Install rear drive shaft (3) .

Apply Tooling (A) and then apply Tooling (B) to the threads of four bolts (5) .
Install four bolts (5). Tighten four bolts (5) to a torque of 300 30 N m (220 22 lb ft).

Apply Tooling (A) and then apply Tooling (B) to the threads of four bolts (4) .
Install four bolts (4). Tighten four bolts (4) to a torque of 300 30 N m (220 22 lb ft).

Install guard (1) and two bolts (2) .End By:
