Install the steering frame lock when the machine is being lifted and when the machine is being transported. Also install the steering frame lock if you are performing service work near the articulating hitch.The steering frame lock is located at the articulating hitch in the center of the machine.

Move the machine to a hard, level surface.
Align steering frame lock indicator (1) and steering frame lock indicator (2).
Engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine.
Check that the steering frame lock bores in the front frame and the rear frame are aligned.

Remove steering frame lock pin (3) from the stored position.

Place steering frame lock pin (3) in the installed position.
Ensure steering frame lock pin (3) passes through the three bores.

Machine frames can move and the steering frame lock pin can be expelled if the steering frame lock pin is only partially installed or the pin bevel is in contact with the upper edge of the front
