On models BR272 and BR378, the work tool is equipped with a jumper plug. Connect the jumper plug to the host machine in order to enable the high flow operation of the work tool. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Operator Controls" of your host machine for additional information on high flow.

Connect the lift limit chains on the brush cutter to the tie-downs on the front of the machine. Note: Make sure that there is very little slack or no slack in the lift limit chains. Using lift limit chains provides a safe operation and the lift limit chains reduce the risk of damage to the blades. The lift limit chains need to be installed in order to limit the lift height which reduces the risks that may be involved.
Use the following procedure to verify engagement of the coupler pins.
Enter the machine.
Close the door of the cab, if equipped.
Fasten the seat belt and lower the armrest.
Start the engine.
Disengage the parking brake.
Keep the brush cutter close to the ground.
Activate the tilt control in order to tilt the brush cutter downward.
Apply down pressure on the brush cutter.
Move the machine backward. Ensure that there is no movement between the brush cutter and the quick coupler assembly.
Test the brush cutter for proper operation.
Engage the parking brake and stop the engine.
Exit the machine.
Inspect the brush cutter and the auxiliary hydraulic lines for leaks. Note: When you operate this work tool, a Polycarbonate Door is recommended on the host machine. Both a Debris Barrier Kit and Turbo Debris Guard Kit are recommended on the host machine. Local conditions may influence the use of a Debris Barrier Kit and Turbo Debris Guard Kit.Removing the Work Tool
Disengaging the coupler pins will release the work tool from control of the operator.Serious injury or death may result from disengaging the work tool when the work tool is in an unstable position or carrying a load.Place the work tool in a stable position before disengaging the coupler pins.
Auxiliary hoses for work tools must be disconnected before the quick coupler is disengaged.Pulling the work tool with the auxiliary hoses could result in damage to the host machine or the work tool.
Enter the host machine.
Fasten the seat belt and lower the armrest.
Start the engine.
Disengage the parking brake.
Raise the work tool in the transport position. Move the host machine to the desired location for disconnecting the work tool. Refer to , "Transportation" for additional information on transporting the work tool.
Position the host machine on a level surface.
Rack back the brush cutter until the brush cutter is slightly off the ground.
Place the direction control in NEUTRAL. Engage the parking brake.
Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position in order to stop the engine.
Follow the procedure in the Operation and Maintenance Manual of the host machine to relieve any pressure within the auxiliary hydraulic lines. For Caterpillar Skid Steer Loaders, use the following procedure.
Turn the engine start switch to the ON position. Do not
