Center bulkhead nuts (10) on bracket (11). Tighten bulkhead nuts (10) to a torque of 38 7 N m (28 5 lb ft).
Extend the parking brake control cable until cable end (A) is all the way out. Cable end (A) is for parking brake control knob (1). Keep the parking brake control cable in this position during Step 3.
With the parking brake cable and the parking brake linkage in the ENGAGED position, thread rod end (8) onto cable end (C). Thread rod end (8) onto cable end (C) until the hole in rod end (8) is in alignment with the hole in lever assembly (5). Turn rod end (8) clockwise for an additional ten full turns. Be sure that you align the hole in rod end (8) with the hole in lever assembly (5) .
If necessary, reposition bulkhead nuts (10) on bracket (11) in order to correctly position rod end (8) in Step 3.
Tighten nut (9) against rod end (8) to a torque of 8 3 N m (6 2 lb ft).
Install clevis pin (7), and cotter (6) .
Position bulkhead nuts (4) on cable end (A) into bracket (3) .
Tighten bulkhead nuts (4) to a torque of 38 7 N m (28 5 lb ft).
Thread nut (2) onto cable end (A). Thread parking brake control knob (1) onto cable end (A) .
Thread nut (2) against parking brake control knob (1). Tighten nut (2) to a torque of 8 3 N m (6 2 lb ft).
