Removal Procedure

Typical example
Loosen bolts (1), (2) and (4). Slide the alternator toward the engine.
Remove V-belt (3) .Note: Mark the direction of rotation if the V-belt will be reused.Installation Procedure

Install V-belt (3) onto the pulleys.Note: A used V-belt should be installed in the original direction of rotation.
Adjust the tension of V-belt (3) by moving the alternator away from the engine. Use Tooling (A) in order to achieve the correct belt tension. Refer to Specifications, "Belt Tension Chart" for more information.
Tighten bolts (1), and (2) to a torque of 11 N m (97 lb in). Tighten bolt (4), to a torque of 35 N m (26 lb ft).
